Welcome to the official website of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday Committee of Indian River County. We're based in Vero Beach, Florida, and we're here to honor Dr. King's legacy. We offer scholarships to local students and organize the annual MLK weekend parade and events.

Our mission
We are dedicated to empowering the next generation through scholarships and fostering community spirit through memorable MLK weekend events. We strive to create a lasting impact in Vero Beach. The purpose of the MLK committee is to bring this community together in a safe family-friendly environment for a weekend of honor, celebration, and service to raise scholarship funds for deserving high school graduates to help ease their transition into college life.
